In the library’s catalog (also known as webOPAC: which stands for Online Public Access Catalog) all our media are electronically listed. Use the catalog to find out if the books and media you desire are available at the library.
Using the catalog, you can:

Hint to start using the catalog: If you have access our homepage over a firewall, the entry port 8080 must be set as acceptable. In addition, your browser needs to accept cookies and have Java-Script.
Knowledge Portal BibNetz Switzerland
Via the knowledge portal BibNetz Switzerland you receive free competent and reliable information from established professional Swiss databanks, for example, Swissdox (Swiss print media), Munzinger Chronik, Brockhaus, Pschyrembel and additional encyclopedias of literature, film, art, music, sport and nature. Researching via BibNetz in the Library is free of charge. Certain databanks of the knowledge portal can be accessed from home.
The online-catalog of the Library Alliance Basle/Berne accesses roughly 2 million titles from 160 Libraries of the universities of Basle and Berne.
About 8000 predominantly classical CDs, from the Music Academy (MAB), can be borrowed by our clients via the “IDS Basle/Berne” catalog for a 2 Franc fee.

Catalog of the Rahn Slide Collection
The Rahn slide collection is composed of several hundred slides of paintings from all epochs of art. For your use, there is a separate catalog of the slide collection available, in which you can search by painter, motif, or museum, etc. The slides can be found in a repository at the main library. To borrow slides, please contact the staff there.
