Storylessons in various languages for adults, children and groups with children from 2 to 6 years of age take place at the libraries and at neighborhood meeting points in Basel.

Languages

Albanian, Portuguese, Spanish, Tamil, Turkish and German for multilinguals.

Public Parent-Child-Groups

A well learned mother tongue and varied experience with picture books are the best basis for learning the German language and being able to read in school. Parents are the experts for the language development and promotion of their children. The project “Tell Me a Story – Family Literacy“ supports parents in the language and reading promotion of their children and encourages them to keep up their mother tongue.

Participation is free of charge, no registration is necessary.
